FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
WHAT IS YOUR FILMING STYLE ?
We break away from the traditional documentary "wedding video" style and now film and edit in a cinematic story telling style to create a "Wedding Film" of your day.
What that means is we're using DSLR cameras and pairing the best lens choice for specific shots, just like your photographer would use, only we shoot video.
Along with our tripod and monopod we are also using the new cinematic tools such as Sliders, Glidecams, Jibs, and even drones to capture the most elegant and unique shots as possible.
HOW DO YOU CAPTURE AUDIO?
They say no one notices good audio but EVERYONE notices bad audio! That's very true and bad audio can really kill your film. We use a variety of tools and state of the art audio gear to get the best quality sound possible . Here is our set up :
CEREMONY:
*2 Lav mics (1) Groom and (1) Officiant
* DAR (Digital Audio Recorder) for readings
* DAR (Digital Audio Recorder) For other singers or musicians as needed
RECEPTION:
*Wireless Mic for Recording Speeches
*DAR (Digital Audio Recorder) for speeches
* Direct Feed from DJ if available
DO YOU USE LIGHTING?
For the ceremony we sometimes use lighting. For the reception we only use lighting as needed to keep the ambience of the event. We do use light for the the speeches, and 1st Dance and Parent Dances to add a really nice look to the event.
HOW LONG IS MY FINAL FILM?
The length is anywhere from 35 - 50 minutes, with the average being around 45 minutes. We capture the following:
*Getting Ready
*Pre-Ceremony
*Details at Ceremony
*Formals
*Reception Details
*Grand Entrances
*1st Dance
*Speeches/Blessings
*Parent Dances
*Cake Cutting
*Dancing (lots of it for the highlights)
*Bouquet & Garter Toss
*Special Dances
*Anything Else that's needed.
HOW LONG AFTER THE WEDDING WILL WE RECEIVE OUR FILM?
Depending on the time of year and how many weddings we have filmed right before your wedding the turn around time is 8 to 12 weeks. The editing is a very important step in creating an amazing wedding film.
DO WE HAVE TO MEET TO BOOK WITH YOU?
No you do not need to meet with us to book with us. It's always nice to meet in person to go over the initial details and timeline but due to busy schedules and locations we know it's not always possible. We do a number of destination weddings each year where it's impossible to meet before the wedding so we know what questions to ask to make the day go smoothly.
HOW DO YOU WORK WITH OUR PHOTOGRAPHER?
We know you have a list of formal shots you will need to get done and time is always a challenge , we work with the photographers so we can all manage the time so everyone can get their shots.
*Drone footage subject to weather permitting and wedding venue authorization.
How do we receive our wedding Film?
We deliver all of our wedding films using a service called MediaZilla, and create a lifetime account for you to be able to watch your wedding film online and over AppleTV. It can also be streamed to your TV from your phone and is also downloadable.
